Moreover, if Nuclear Rejections really weren’t “OK”, Women would be chin-checking their sisters over it. As it happens, they don’t, even when just about every Woman here and elsewhere knows at least one Woman in her social circle that does it early and often. One of the rationales given as to why Women don’t chin check each other on this, is what I call the “Necessary Evil” argument – that because so many Men can’t take “no” for an easy, said Women simply have to go Nuclear. While I can certainly see the argument, it also presumes that no Women are ever just mean sadistic jerks. I say there is room for both, but it’s a moot point since it is clear that Women have no interest or desire to stamp them out in any event. “So if being rude and uncivil is not acceptable when a woman does it, it should not be acceptable when a man does it. Someone almost knocked me down the other day because he got mad at the line at Starbucks when he stormed out. So is it OK for me to knock people down when I get mad, because it happened to me? No, of course not. The world is full of a**holes, but I’m not going to be one of them.” O: Uh-huh. So, my saying to Ms. But She’s So Nice! “I am not sexually attracted to you; please stop” is on par with your experience at Starbucks, and is on par with the Nuclear Rejection Mr. Nekros had to endure? *looks at the camera a la “The Office”* “Also, it depends on the context. If someone said “Meet my friend Jane…Jane this is Obs”…are you really going to say “I’m not sexually attracted to you, please stop”? But, if Jane comes up to you and says “Lets go to my place and have a drink”, then I think you’re justified in saying that you’re not attracted to her or she’s not your type, etc. Then tell your friends that you’re not interested in their help with women.”
