Especially if a woman knows anything about a man’s past, and therefore the timing reflects panic, possessiveness, ambition, and/or solipsism. These qualities are not motivational. It’s also illogical wrt the woman. Why would she ask if that’s not what his behavior indicates? If his behavior does not indicate congruence with her longterm interests, does she plan to induce, or coerce, different behavior by asking?
